Let's face it, no news about guns in mainstream media is actually good news, so here is a fine example of another selfish person not only taking his life with a handgun, but also taking the innocent lives of others.
My questions are:
Had he not had a gun, would he have found some other way to inflict this pain on people?
Was there a history of mental illness that had a law been in place to check for such a disability; would he have had been given access to a firearm? Or would he have obtained his gun illegally anyway for the purpose of exacting revenge.
Do headlines like MSNBC's "6 killed in KY gun rampage" serve to promote antigun legislation and sentiment? Would something like, "6 Killed by Deranged Man" be a bit more accurate?
Has the world become so unstable that the only way for some people to resolve conflicts are with the use of deadly force?
